I set foot on the Mother Land on 6/12/2010 and am already planning my return visit. I was the only African American in my group but I felt truly special when my Egyptian counterparts called me "Cousin" and were in awe of me. I smiled wide an spoke to everyone. My group members were amazed by the peoples reaction to me. I felt at home, in a place I had never been. hanks you for making me remember that joyous time in my life and I am oping for a repeat performance in 2012. I am looking forward to you writing more books, characters and images your mind will create. Hold tight to your African experience....there is nothing like it! Love and Light! I too have always wanted to go to Egypt. As a woman, your experiences scared me but at the same time strenghtened my determination to go. Just have to make sure there are males in my travel group. (Don't think husband would be capable of making this trip) I see I have to make sure I'm physically prepared for that trip too. So I'd better start losing weight and exercising so I can make it up those stairs of the pyramids and fit through those small spaces designed for little priest with little feet... lol What a wonderful blog.
