Research can be very deep…

By Leslie

Okay, this Top AOL News Story below is the kind of news that is in The Wicked. We’re talking “end of days” type of paradigms in the world as we delve into this next book in the VHL series… hey… 10 feet of snow dumping on NYC, bees dying and unable to fertilize crops. Read for yourself:

Top News- Mystery Illness Wipes Out Bee Colonies – AOL N…

This is the kind of thing that makes you go, “Hmmm…” Now, maybe it’s just me—but when you add in all the freaky environmental news and how folks seem to be losing their natural minds, something is going on (!) So, I’ll just put that out there for my two cents for the day.

What say you?

But before we get on some negative roll, because I don’t want to inspire that… has anyone seen the documentary entitled, “The Secret”? If you haven’t, it’s worth a look-see. (Orderable on Amazon.com, too.) Oprah did a show on this last Thursday, I believe… so I went and brought it to learn more—anything metaphysical, I have to investigate due to what I write. It was mind-blowing. I also got the suggested Amazon, “if you bought this, others also recommend that” video, entitled, “What The Bleep Do We Know.” If you feel like getting your mind blown by some DEEP quantum physics, might I suggest this. But don’t worry, it’s in layman’s terms. It is rocket science, just not explained that way.

The thing that scared me (in a good way) was, I wasn’t too far off at all, according to the scientists, about dimensions, planes of existence, energy fields, et al. It was a nice confirmation that the science beneath the science-fiction I write was holding up… so apparently I understood and decoded some of the very obtuse works I’d stumbled upon along the way. Whew! (I was starting to scare my danged self, LOL!)

Seriously, sometimes when I’m researching I feel like I’m going down the rabbit hole, you have no idea. I start pulling the edge of a concept, then it unravels like a thread, luring me deeper and deeper into the subject matter until I just have to cut the line and go write. The whole matter of esoteric healing, energy rays, and chakras bent my mind like that. Then I found out, essentially, by watching that “What the Bleep Do We Know” video, a vanishing point could possibly happen! I was like—NO FREAKIN’ WAY! I made that mess up! Uh, uh. They were talking particle energy, fractals, energy holding a charge, and breaking matter down to the subatomic level. At one point I just stood up, walked away from the television, and poured myself a glass of wine. It was around the part where they began talking about moving through time and space to capture information from the future to bring it back to the present.

I say all this to say, whatever I discover in my research journey, I’ll be putting in the series—and I do mean everything including the kitchen sink. There is so MUCH out there it’s hard to gauge where to stop. But the one guidepost that keeps it grounded for me is, this series is about people… emotion… and what a family must do to fight to stay together, fight to stay alive, and to keep the incursion of evil at bay. And, really, that’s what we’re all trying to do—at least those who are trying to be positive.

People are out there every day fighting the good fight on their jobs, at home, at school, in their communities… trying to keep hearth and home together, keep themselves together, keep their health, children, and relationships together, trying to keep negativity at bay, hoping to make the world a better place for them having been in it… and trying really hard not to be of the current insanity in the world. That part isn’t rocket science or quantum physics. There are more good folks in the world than bad—we just see the crazies on the 11 o’clock news.

I think that was way more than two cents… oh well. My bad :) Just know that I hear you and try to fold those very real and raw battles against the dark side into the books in honor of everybody out there who is fighting the good fight. Ashe!

BIG HUG and much love & Light, Leslie!

You are not alone on the whole “sounds like end of the world type stuff” thing. Only a few days ago I read the story about the two years that was found frozen in the snow. Her father had knocked her unconscious then took her outside. This same man had just the day before been arrested for possibly sexually assualting another child in the house. My first thought was “father help us”. When I saw his picture I was like “dang the demons look just like us”. Then with all the snow, the bees, and now a tornado hit new orleans ..whew. I’m two seconds away from breaking out the oils and chanting. As far as the “Secret ” I think it is a great concept. I haven’t seen it but I did watch part of Oprah’s show. It actually made me rethink a lot of things. The fact that some of that stuff ties into your books just shows how dedicated you are to your craft I also think that in your own way, you may be our(the readers) instrument of instruction. Even though some of the stuff you write may be made up, it is the feelings and thoughts behind and in them that makes them believable. I personally believe that you can get positive vibes from anywhere at anytime. I think that most people want to believe in the unbelievable..that’s why we love fairy tales. The idea of what could be sometimes drives us to what can be. I think that some of the things in your books, plants these kind of positive seeds that grow in your readers. Trust me, your work has given me pause on several occasions. Sooo, keep researching and writing, and we will keep reading and thinking. The fact that there is stuff out there that backs it up, just makes it even better.

This is really interesting information. I missed Oprah last Thursday, but I have been hearing about the advancements of science. Now, another dilemma comes into mind: what’s real and what’s not?

As a lover of VHL, I do have to stop and remind myself that what I’m reading is fiction. But now, with the information you just gave, I’m asking myself, is it really just fiction?

As a Christian, I know and understand that we are living in the last days. It’s all over the place. Jesus said there will be “wars, and rumors of wars.” I find myself asking God, on a regular basis, to protect my spirit as I go on my daily way, because true evil is present on the planet. They may not be council level Vamps and Were-creatures, but they’re here.

And the bees? I never thought I’d be so happy to find out that bees are dying off, since I’m terribly afraid of them. But then, I paused, and thought about whether or not that was a good thing. I truly realize now, that we need to pray, yall…

Ladies… I’m right there with you on the “we need to pray, y’all.” Yep!!! And thank you so much for the positive vibes. I agree… I think positivity can come from all sources–you all are a source of positive Light… with all your support and love and upbeat comments, THANK YOU. And I so hope that I’m doing right by the information and the craft of writing by you, because believe me, the feelings are mutual. We all lift each other up in these turbulent times. BIG HUG, Leslie!

I’m glad to know that metaphysics is becoming mainstream so to speak. There is so much to learn and it’s all so interesting. Do you ever listen to Coast to Coast AM? I just love learning more than what is reported in mainstream news. Truth is stranger than fiction ain’t nothing but the truth! LOL. I’m checking “The Secret” out now.

I agree with ya’ll. Prayer works wonders and everybody on the planet needs to be praying. The more I hear people losing their minds and doing things we didn’t used to do, it’s scary, but we’ve got to gird up our loins and fight back. Can’t let the evil claim us just because we were afraid to get involved.

I love your work and every time you have a new release, I go back and re-read the others to immerse myself totally in the experience. Keep up the excellent work because you have a fan for life!

    Light and Love!

All the war, death, rape and any other deluded act is senseless. I gives me pause and I think and feel, “Lawd have Mercy!” We all have to live on this little plan of dirt “earth” together, why can’t we just get along without harming another living being. Maybe it’s too much like right. I have been told, I have an uplifting spirit and my internal energy shines so bright, I could blind someone. I just “love” without bias. I always hold out an ounce for people, hoping thing are going to work themselves out. I belive the world is changing for the better. Granted it’s slow but, we just have to be patient and vigilent in our thoughts and prayers only “white light”. The energy around the world can not be all evil. There are those of us who keep the light shining bright within us and will burn a hole in the hellfire set before us. Your writing teaches and inspires the parts of us which need to be strengthened to withstand the stroms in our neighborhoods, relationships, spritual battles and inner battles. We gotta reach back and shine a little light, like a beacon into the darkness for others and ourselves to find the light within the darkness.

Blessed be until we met again

For those of you who might be interested, at 9 pm there will be a worldwide sound and white light intention to bring peace and love to the planet. Sound healers and others interested will chant the vowel sound AAh asssociated with the heart chakra while sending out the intention for universal live and peace. It should be at 9pm. I hope that this will have some good effect because lord knows this world needs it.

  7. Camille says:

For anyone interested in other sound healing events check out the following website.
    http://www.allonenow.org

It is a multi faith organization that embraces the use of sound as a healing catalyst.

I am a firm believer in the power of the sound and the word to make a change in a person’s life . I guess that is why I like this series so much. The use of sound to affect the world whether for good or bad. Trust me Leslie. You have interpreted quite a bit of your research very well. That is the reason I am very careful what I listen to and when. Every type of music has its place. There is a time for angry music, depressing music happy music pulse driving music. When I trying to get somewhere quickly I break out the Spanish or Soca music. When I want solace I break out the wind chimes or divine divas CD . When I want to work something out of my system — purge an emotion , I go straight for the drums.

The spoken word can heal as well as hurt. In an attempt to heal the wounded around us and possibly stem the tide of Hell around us, how about every day we aim to say something nice with heartfelt intention to someone. A family member . A stranger. Something as simple as “Hello” or “Nice dress” without any emotional strings can go a long way to lift the spirits and start a chain reaction of feel good.

Walk and Talk in the Light.
